Harbor City String Band is one of HCIS's longest running clubs. We meet on Fridays from 3:30 until about 5pm.



We focus on music of 1800's American Appalachia. We use no written music - learning dozens of tunes only by ear. We treat music as an oral tradition open to change and interpretation. We specialize in playing for called dances.

Each year, consistent members are welcome to join us for the Wildgoose Chase Cloggers Moosejaw weekend in March.
